the SURFACE collection

SURFACE is an homage to the ongoing journey of learning to bring the raw and authentic to the surface. Each piece is a reminder to not spend too much effort polishing that you risk losing the interesting texture. This collection reflects a few of the surfaces in nature that draw me in the most during the summer and mirror these lessons. Each piece in this collection had an element of spontaneity in the making process, including glaze drips or unplanned carvings or added textures, resulting in a surface that is entirely unique and cannot be replicated.
